Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with an English version in the year 2017 shortly after which the most well-known artists began collaborating together with reggaeton groups. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny to produce MIA (2018) as well as Madonna was a part of Medellin together with Maluma (2019). The mainstreaming of reggaeton was a concern for some performers during the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a young generation, however, were keen to keep the look. The genre often included elements of electronic dance music as well as other forms.
